Become a Peace Promise Organization, Community, Etc.

Become an Official Baltimore Peace Movement organization, entity, or community by joining with the movement to build Baltimore Peace Movement culture in your school, spiritual/religious org, neighborhood, or any other kind of community.

After you've read the information on this page, email us at bmorepeacemovement@gmail.com to set up a meeting with us, if you're interested in moving forward with becoming an official Peace Promise organization/community.

Baltimore Peace Movement will:

• Facilitate quarterly conversations (public meetings) with your community about Baltimore Peace Movement.

• Provide 2-3 hour Baltimore Peace Movement Training to anyone in your group, depending on the size of the group. Anyone who completes the training will receive a Baltimore Peace Movement Community Peace Goon t-shirt. You can also schedule additional Conflict Management & Emotional Intelligence trainings. 

• Provide up to 100 posters and 500 flyers for each Peace Promise Weekend: February, May, August, November. Due to COVID-19 precautions, you can receive digital versions of the poster and flyer, if you'd like.

• Your organization/community will host 4 life-affirming events each year, during Peace Promise Weekends, with 20-100 people participating at each event.

• If youth are involved with your community or organization, you will support and encourage them to become Baltimore Peace Movement Ambassadors.  

• Your organization/community will host quarterly Peace Movement Public Meetings with your community, each year. These meetings can be online to respect COVID-19 precautions. Peace Movement Squad and/or Ambassadors will co-lead these meetings with you.

• Your organization/community will do outreach to raise awareness about Baltimore Peace Movement in your community, whether in person or online.
