A Look Into Sacred Space Rituals

Maryland Public Television takes a look into Sacred Space Rituals and Baltimore Peace Promise Weekends, back when they were called "Baltimore Ceasefire Weekends".

Sacred Space Rituals

Sometimes, people experience violence in Baltimore which causes them to pass over into the fullness of their non-physical being. When this happens, we believe that their lights matter. We believe that the places where people transitioned out of their bodies (or began their passing over process) should be Sacred Ground. We believe that it is healing for our city when people show up in that same space to send love and light to that person's spirit, to the community, and to their loved ones.

During Sacred Space Rituals, people are invited to do whatever they believe will put love and light in the space. Baltimoreans show up to make sure that love has the last say in that space, and that how much the person matters has the last say in that space.

Baltimore Peace Movement volunteers who have been trained to facilitate these Rituals are normally the people who schedule when they happen, based on their schedules. However, if a loved one asks us to schedule a Ritual, we will schedule it at a time that is convenient for them. Contact us here to request a Ritual, even if the incident happened before this year. The other time when Rituals happen are during "Reclaim Baltimore", which began in January, 2022. These are dates when people all over the city have signed up to pour love into spaces that have not yet been blessed. All Sacred Space Rituals can be found on the Baltimore Peace Movement online calendar.

Please attend Sacred Space Rituals, when you can. #DontBeNumb. Because #PeaceIsThePromise and #BaltimoreLivesMatter.

On these dates, Sacred Space Rituals were done in honor of these people. Go to our calendar to see when future Rituals are scheduled. Contact us here to request a Sacred Space Ritual, even if the incident happened before 2026.
